This is the first of two videos (Stupid 10:59 limit) walking you through the stereo in my car.
I just finished doing some upgrades and re-wiring everything, and this video will show you everything that I've done and explain a little about how I've done it.

-------------------

The Setup:

Head Unit: Pioneer FH-P8000BT Double-DIN, bluetooth ready, USB iPod support, AUX input, mic input, wireless remote, wired remote support (for steering wheel buttons), 7-band EQ built in, etc

Amplifiers: A Pioneer 760Watt 2-ch powering the door speakers (all four) and a Twister F2-500 2-ch 1250Watt amp powering the two subs

Speakers: Pioneer 3-way 6x9's in the back, stock 6 1/2" components up front

Subs: 2x Pioneer Premier TS-W1500SPL 10" 1500W max, 600W RMS Dual Voice Coil

Wires: 4AWG power/ground all around, 12AWG speaker wire on the subs, 16AWG speaker wire on the door speakers. StreetWires ZN-5 and ZN-7 RCA cables

Capacitor: 1-Farad Stinger

Entirely self installed.

  • hi, can you help me i have 2 woofers of 1000 w rms each and 4 speakers of 70 rms each so total rms is 2280 rms, what tipe of fuse need, my friend say 200 ampers is good but i gonna by sure and i have a amplifier of 5000w you think is good for my 2000 rms cus for my 280 rms of my speakers i gonna buy another amplifier. o and my capacitor is 3 farad. if you help i'll very happy.

  • @luisin321123 You can look up the amperage ratings for your amps online. Then find a fuse at least that size.

For that much power you'll *need* 0guage wire. 4guage can only do up to 125amps which isn't going to cut it.

I hope you have a big alternator for a 5000w amp. The three farad cap should be plenty though.

  • thats a sexy looking head unit, where did you get it

  • @BLEEDTHOUBLOOD jr.com

  • dang dude you really know alot about car amps!

  • @xcoleboydx Not really. I just pretend like I do.

  • hey i was wondering how you removed the "a frame" when you installed the mic?... I have a volkswagen golf and i want to do sumtin similar

  • i have one of those exact sub grills brand new in the package. But i have12's so it won't fit mine

  • yes i have to do of 200amp alternator ill be good

  • @luisin321123 you need to be thinking about putting a second batt in the car

  • @Iloveufonzi Yea, any MP3 player should work. More complex devices (Zune, etc) may not, but you could take a flash drive and fill it with mp3 files and the deck would play it perfectly.
