Tori Amos cover of Britney Spears' Baby One More Time 7.13.09 Oakland Paramount Theater

Tori prefaced this song by saying that a little fairy came to her hotel room that morning and told her to play it. She remarked that her photo is not on the wall at the Paramount Theater even though she has performed there many times but "that's OK 'cause I'm here in the flesh." She said that she was going to play a song by someone whose photo IS on the wall.

Then, Tori said that she had told her daughter Tash that she was going to play this song and Tash had said, "are you kidding? You don't know that song!" Tori replied by saying, "I don't know any of the songs I play." Haha! She told the audience to guess what she was going to play and I don't think anyone guessed Britney. I wanted to record more but the darn usher cut me off :(

May I ask, did you have an aisle seat or a center seat?

I've read that if you sit smack dab in the middle of a bunch of people that the ushers are less likely to bug you because they don't want to wade through people and block their view.

I hope it's true because I've been stocking up on SD cards and Batteries so I can record as much as possible of the show I'm going to.

The ushers would shine their flashlights on you if they couldn't get to where you were sitting and harass you until you stopped recording. I don't know if it was a venue issue or what.

I was very accessible and an usher literally pushed my camera down to cut off this video.

yeah ushers generally aren't too impressed if you are breaking the rules. But nonetheless, thank you for posting this awesomeness :)
