Shooting the Ruger Mark III 22/45 .22 long rifle semi-automatic pistol in Arizona. Good times in the desert with good guns at hand. This semi-automatic pistol was fun to shoot and never failed on us. This was the first time shooting it, and I can see it going everywhere with us in the future.

  • right thumb over your left thumb while shooting if your right handed, it will stabilize your firearm better for more accurate shots and follow through's :)

  • @parker1469 thanks for the good tip. This is actually a buddy of mine who is left handed most of the time, ambidextrous, and had bought this gun that day so he was just getting the hang of it. I hope by now he's fine tuned his hold, lol. Thanks again for the tip and thanks for watching! Have fun out there!

  • @ArizonaAdventures No problem, Im an NRA and state firearms instructor and really on the fence on the MKIII and saw your video, that made my decision, but wanted to help you out. Your video just made Ruger a sale, thanks for posting it !

  • @parker1469 Very cool. I am a big Ruger fan and have so much fun with the weapons I own that are made by them. Sounds like you have a fun job and it's great that you can teach so many people how to handle firearms correctly. I've been an NRA member for a short time and know for a fact you instructors know your stuff. Glad we could help each other out :) Take care!

  • i bought one of these at a pawn shop for 300$ came with a case,2 mags, starter kit.

    was that a good buy?

  • @slayershayne If you enjoy it, it was worth every penny! Price is something anyone can make up, but value is what you get from how it makes you feel. I hope that makes sense :)

  • @slayershayne $299 BRAND NEW. unfortunate for you.

  • love this gun,own one just like it =]

  • @WarrenAch I believe that Bill Ruger credited the Nambu as the design inspiration for what is now known as the Mark III.

The photos and drawings of the early models look almost exactly like a Nambu.

    Here's a tip for Ruger product managers/designers:

Put Low Mount No Snag sights on a 22/45. You'll be glad you did.

  • Looks like a Tokarev with the same chamber of a Japanese Nambu...
