I have a 1961 Sears Craftsman lathe... still works wonderfully well. You know... I need to make a radius jig... if for nothing else than because it would be a very interesting project. Nice job on yours!

There is nothing wrong with an old lathe, my friend! Many of the older machines were built many times more solid than the newer machines of today!
I prefer my Walker-Turner from the late 30's over my new lathe, which is a copy of the JET 12"x36". It's built like a tank and smooth as oil on glass!
Uses a jack-shaft and 2 sets of 4-groove pulleys w/ a 3hp 220V motor. Spins 50rpm to scary fast.
Roller bearings on the spindle. it will spin some HUGE wood off the back of the headstock!

do you have the plans for the attachment, this looks like it works great

Very well done -- and very high quality video, too! Keep up the great work!
Sorry, but I don't have any plans. It does work very well.

I'm pleased you like it. It was fun to do even on an old lathe like mine.
