My recreated version of a popular Beatles tune. I performed the vocals and guitar work, although the drum track was taken from an outstanding midi file floating around. In my young teens when this song first came out on a Capitol record "mono" 45 ("B" or "flip-side" of Paperback writer) I recall wondering what John was singing near the ending (the more revealing "stereo" version wouldn't be around for years after). A couple of months passed when I happened to pick up a (then) popular "lyric magazine" solved the backwards "mystery." There I read, "Sdaeh rieht edih dna nur yeht semoc niar eht nehw" which blew me away with an added dimension of their unique creativity.

I mention this here to give an idea to younger Beatle fans that part of their magic was never knowing what they were up to; what surprises might be in store on their next song, or even how long they were going to last!

  • Great cover man!

  • @sbbinahee Thanks for your overly-kind remark! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • when the rain comes no no no If the rain comes....

  • @josefernandogamboa I too realized my error in the lyric after the song was finished, but thought, "Who in this world would be consumed with such pettiness to trouble themselves to exclusively point that out?" Now I know!

  • where did you take the track from??without John's voice

  • @estefylennon Hi! The lead, rhythm, bass guitars + vocals are tracks I performed myself. The drum track was from an old midi file I happened to have.
