i have a gsxr 600 k9 with bmc filter and R55-slipon.i have just installed powercommander V do i need to dynotest it or this is a self tuning ?

Nice chicken strips on your back tire, learn to ride.. Not just rev your engine.
And yes if you do not have a power commander on your bike and your have added ANY aftermarket parts you need to re- tune your bike or it will just be slower that before you modded your bike.
Or download the correct map and upload it to your power commander

It's totally up to you. It added 9hp and got rid of the popping sound. I found out later that I didn't need a pc3. A shop in my area can tune the stock ECU. Factory Pro in San Rafael, Ca

im guesssing only the newer bikes can tune off the OEM ECU ?

Whats your make and model? Try googling factory pro and see if your bike is on there.
