  • OK, listening again while following the music, I hear what you are saying. However, in the later pages, there is a reference to the original source, saying that Schumann wrote a single dotted note, instead of the double dotted. Hard to know how to handle this, especially at a fast tempo...

  • @yiyiku I don't agree that it wasn't observed. I definitely heard the dotted rhythm. Interesting... What I noticed is that big tempo change in the first theme from the opening to the ending. I love the melodic sections, how peaceful and serenely he creates an atmosphere. Arrau was a genius. His interpretations were always totally personal. If you listen to him play the same piece as a young man, and later in his life, there are many changes, which are to be expected.

  • its a clean and expected interpretation...i just find it strange that the dotted rhythm against triplet is not observed (main chordal section)?
