We're going for a Pepsi Refresh grant in October, 2010. Please vote by going to www.refresheverything.com/sledhockey and/or text 102873 to 73774. On May 3rd, 2009, PossAbilities at Loma Linda University Medical Center, East Campus, and USA Hockey conducted a sled hockey clinic at Ontario (Calif.) Ice Skating Center. All of the forty-odd participants were first-timers except for the clinicians: Dave Conklin, gold and bronze medalist with the U.S. Paralympic sled hockey team, and Ray Free, captain of the Sacramento Lightning sled hockey team. Safety equipment was provided by Hockey Gear 4 U in Norwalk. We are trying to build a full-time sled hockey program in the Inland Empire; for more information, contact IESledHockey@aol.com.
