Only time 3d will really start catching on is when 3d tech reaches the point where you no longer need glasses of any kind to see the 3d effect

anyone who has ever browsed tv would probably agree it's much easier to tap your finger ever so lightly...then to repeatedly speak CLEAR AND LOUD...saying "channel up, channel up, channel up, channel up..."

21:9 is bs that means I would need new tv furniture because I dont like to mount tvs.

I wish Tv companies would concetrate more on quality than 3d.. HD is still getting better and now with OLED and the recent LED tv's.. but 3d is just pure gimmick.. darkens the picture, headaches, buying glasses to watch.. good luck if you wear prescription glasses lol..then again if the gimmick sells they all get in on it. I would rather see smart tvs more than anything. I say improve on having more stunning realistic displays then 3d objects flying at you with glasses you have to wear.

21:9 is already on the market from Philips, I think some mainstream touchscreen TVs will be a good idea, added to HTPC integration plus internet & Live widgets.
