This is the actual L A fire station 127, called station 51 on TV, that was used for filming the hit TV show Emergency in the early 70's. See the kitchen, dining, and the TV room, the lockerroom and barracks, its all just as filmed...Its just off the SanDeigo FRWY so we stop in to see it on our way to Disneyland... See my other videos please, I'm restoring a 63 impala and other cars here. thanx

  • The day this station was dedicated as the "Robert A. Cinader Memorial Fire Station," the audience was seated were you see the fire engines in this photo. Bob Cinader had died several years prior to the ceremony. His wife, Jean, was at the podium commenting on the tributes to her husband when the men in Station 127 were called to duty. Across the way a major fire had broken out in one of the refineries. Sirens were whaling. It was noisy. Jean Cinader didn't skip a beat. She said "that would be m

  • Restodan that's awesome filming around the station, that's one station I must visit if I ever come over to the States. Loved Emergency when I was a kid and still now, in the 70's it was prime time 19:00hrs every week night here. I've just retired after 20 years as a Paramedic here on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia and I'm pretty sure Emergency influenced not only me but many others to become Paramedics.

  • Very interesting video, fan of the show here in Buffalo, NY thanks for posting

  • Did they get rid of the foam unit and split up the light force into a quint and an engine?

  • @kewrock I guess it's just the relative age of the "east coast" vs. "west coast'. The further west you go, the newer things seem to get. But it's not the firehouse, it's the courage and valor of the firefighters serving there. :)

  • Nice to see this here. Funny how I could pick out everything and every room and know EXACTLY where everything was just from watching the show! Thanks for sharing it.

  • Is it around near Compton? I recall some ladder truck showing up with the the City of Compton on the ladder.

  • Was that flat screen tTV there thirty five years ago during the show

  • I too am an Emergency! fan. I was at the station in May of 2011, and the firefighters were very friendly and showed us around, too. Their little 'gift shop' with shirts and patches was very cool. Many thanks to the people who work there, very courteous!

  • Thank you for the video and I 'd like to say your fire station is more best then our in Russia you have all you need and people in my station always craing
