Beached as Whale at Waihi Beach

This was filmed on 30/11/08 at Waihi Beach.

Washed up dead and decayed on 29/11/08. 17m long with an estimated weight of 20 tonnes.
A broken spine with an open wound was probably the result of a collision with a ship's bow or propeller. But the whale could have died before that.
