A simple tutorial on a whirlpool design of my inventions. This whirlpool will drag down and kill any mob that is one cube wide and at least two cubes tall. it is basically an external mob grinder. It will send the loot anywhere you desire with the proper water distribution. This is also the smallest version of this whirlpool. This whirlpool can be made as large as you have time to build but I dont recommend making it too large because then you'll have mobs spawning on the roof platform. Hopefully this will be instructional to you guys and I apologize for the darkness/lag. I will get a mac in a few months and make higher quality vids.

if you have not yet seen the previous video, please watch to understand the application of the reed/sugarcane here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laafECIpWLE

  • You should stand on top and surround yourself with glass. Then everything would be attracted to the whirl pool

  • @BassGenocide :O SOOOOO TRUE!

  • @MasterMax302 My Little ponies

  • You can extend how far the loot goes from 7 blocks to 12 to 17...

Just use a pick and destroy the second to last block the water is on and destroy the blocks in front of that. The water will flow for a bit longer without a current change.

  • I like ponies :)

  • @HoBoMoBob no?

  • It got patched :(

  • This whirlpool trap CAN kill spiders. The only thing needed to be changed is to have a casing of a solid material.

  • line that trap with glass, i read on minecraft's wiki that glass makes the water flow faster and more violently

  • Fantastic tutorial! Informative, concise, detailed and funny too.

The word you're looking for is convex. The side of the water facing the air and reeds is convex, under the convex side is concave, ask Google.
