I know that the evo is great with handling and good performance (but what about durability.) There is just something about the sti that just brings out the beast in me. I believe that they are both great cars, it all depends on what you are looking for in a sports car (raw power or good handling) can anyone help me with this battle in my head? I will be grateful

They are both very good cars, both have strong engines that will take a beating, but the evo has a major flaw, being their tranny. With hard driving, the tranny won't last you very long. Performance, all it comes down is to driving skill, both are almost equal, like you said, depends on what ur looking for.

@DrakeMR2 you're probably talking about the 6 speed Evo MR tranny, the 5 speed tranny is not as weak.

Its 6 to one half dozen to the other, you can't choose one based solely on performance. It comes down to personal preference, and i'll take the styling of the STI and the reliability that comes with the subaru name.

Get a STi and upgrade the suspension...DONE best of both worlds, That's what I did..upgraded them with JIC coilovers and upgraded the stock brembo rotors for bigger brembo's :] Could'nt be happier with it!
