The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act has brought sweeping changes to the financial industry and many unintended consequences to the energy industry. On April 10, the C. T. Bauer College of Business addressed this issue during the final Distinguished Leaders Series of the spring semester with a discussion on "Dodd-Frank Implications for the Energy Industry and Firms. Speakers were Katherine Torres, senior manager of risk & control for AGL Resources, and Craig Pirrong, Bauer finance professor and director of energy markets for the college's Global Energy Management Institute.

Presented by AGL Resources and their Houston-based companies, the DLS serves as an opportunity for exploring topical issues in business, with an emphasis on the energy industry.
