A really amazing flavorful hearty dish.
I made it twice already and even my two year old eats it up!
My husband and i are not crazy about cilantro or turmeric so I've omitted both. Either way, the dish is unbelievable and so traditional.

This tajine is called 'chicken mkaddam souiri', it comes from Souira, a city in Morocco (thus the name of the dish). I would not be surprised if it is also made in Tunisia. Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia share many dishes and may be called differently.

Hi there, I live in a Welsh Village in the uk, love your recipies, I have a Welsh Half Leg of Lamb, can you suggest a dish for me to cook, i once saw one in Turkey where the leg was marinated for 2 days before cooking, i wonder if you have any fabulous recipies for Lamb also!, Many thanks
