How to make a different tajine called Chicken Souiri in that it is not a stew but more like a fluffy omelet. The chicken is cooked in an aromatic sauce, then covered with eggs and baked in the oven. One exotic Moroccan dish that you must try!

  • this looks as great as it tastes...thanks again for another great recipe!! And can't wait til you come back!! YELLA! :)

  • A really amazing flavorful hearty dish.

I made it twice already and even my two year old eats it up!

My husband and i are not crazy about cilantro or turmeric so I've omitted both. Either way, the dish is unbelievable and so traditional.

    Thank you for this recipe.

  • looks delicious

  • mmmm ça à l'air délicieux!! merci alia

ps: votre nouvelle coupe de cheuveux vous va trés bien :)

  • This tajine is called 'chicken mkaddam souiri', it comes from Souira, a city in Morocco (thus the name of the dish). I would not be surprised if it is also made in Tunisia. Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia share many dishes and may be called differently.
