  • Noisy POS has no business on a bike trail. I like ATVs but really this is rediculous

  • @vaxinius First of all, this is primarily an ATV trail, not a bike trail. And second, this is a rescue vehicle on a training exercise with stock exhaust.

  • It would be interesting to see one of these being used to fight a real fire and something not staged.

  • @mharrop396

Thanks, yeah it helps a lot. I have a Yamaha Rhino which is excellent offroad but isn't very lawn and landscape friendly due to the permanently locked rear differential. Looking into some sort of heavy duty utility vehicle so I'm currently looking at a Polaris 6x6

  • @wildbill23I do have a ranger 500 and all l can tell you about the drive system is that it can be in 4wd, rear lock or open rear diff.It works really well and all 4 wheels spin in 4wd.I hope this helps you....

  • @mharrop396

You seem to be a Polaris Guy, so hopefully you own a Polaris UTV. Do the Polaris Rangers have a locking rear and front differential, if so how does it work? Seems every polaris I've seen and been around there's always one or 2 tires spinning when its in 4WD. How's the system in the Polaris work?

  • hmm...I wonder why they always use polaris rangers for harsh terrain....oh.. I know ...because polaris is the best...

  • @vaxinius why does a piece of rescue apparatus piss you off? You wouldnt be saying that if you were alone on this trail and you injured yourself.

  • It has to be a good vechicle to get into tight spaces,an Australian light horse can do the job as well.

  • @vaxinius Vaxinius, someday you might be laying on a remote trail with your skull cracked open or your leg broken or your mangina completely swollen. Then you'll be praying for that "noisy POS" rescue rig to come cart your dopey ass out. There's no amberlamps out in the sticks.
