Old Indian Women = BAD Makeup

Vite is right! Nah, I'm jk. I rant on about the fugliest makeup I've ever seen and segue(pronounced seg-way) into a little theory about asians, indians, and skin color. It's something you might be able to relate to.

This is EXACTLY how I feel when I see brown girls in my community wear a shade of foundation 10 shades too light for their skin. And the thing is, they are all taught to this by their mothers!

Sorry to say, some Indians are in denial, they have brown skin and don't use makeup that match the skin tone, instead they use makeup for white women.

THANKS!! At least one person think like me!! Sometimes i really really pitty those girls who think they're super beautiful because they're "white" but have a pig face!! When i talk to my white european friends about the indian beauty ideal they're just laughing out loud!

SAME SITUATION... it was my cousins wedding in India. We were getting ready and my other cousin pops out of her room and i screamed cuz she looked like a ghost. like she dunked her face in baby powder and threw on some fugly shade of bluish purple eyeshadow that made her look like she had bruises on her eyes.

i MADE her wash it all off and gave her a natural look with some pretty blue eyeliner. your are right to say that we have to embrace our brown-ness!!

Yeah, I think that type of preconception is changing now. Though, I admit, that there are some odd ones out there who just refuse to change their views regarding what is considered aesthetically beautiful these days i.e. au naturel. :-)
