I bought the Colin Stetson Album Limited Edition. Yes, totally worth it. Comes with a CD too!!! so yea, big plus... It's my 2011 best album.

yes, the Colin Stetson record (New History Warfare Vol.2: Judges) ist really gerat... kind of like Peter Brotzman and Albert Ayler, but some his stuff sounds almost like Sofia Gubaidulina....

I'm glad someone likes CoM as much as I do. I only have houses of the unholy though. I would love to get master of brutality someday. and Dead Meadow is one of my favourite bands, awesome to see you spinning that. Also if you've never heard of them Darker My Love is another great neo-psych band. Their self-titled is mind-blowing.

If you haven't heard Rahsaan Roland Kirk's The Inflated Tear, check it out. It's amazing!

Awesome!

I listened to NHW Vol.1 today. Although Judges is rightly thought to be Colin Stetson's artistic masterpiece, the depth and warmth conveyed here is undeniable. He has an uncanny ability to channel the many facets of the human condition into his music. Pick it up as soon as you can.

I totally agree about paypal. In fact, I just went through my first refund request last week. I simply wrote about a paragraph as to why I should be refunded, and I kid you not, my money was refunded in about 10 minutes! Of course, there was a little time contacting eBay beforehand, but still, super simple. Luckily I've never been burned as a seller.

Nice on that Metallica album, I'm starting to get into them and never realized how good they actually were.
Also, you are now my nemesis for having the White Box....until I find a copy and somehow I obtain it.

For the best price on Vol.1, go to aagoo records. It's $10 there. Insound.com also has it for $11.99.
Holy shit! Where do you get all this money?

@vansrok1 trust me, my bi-weekly spending budget doesn't consist of much else other than records and coffee. so you do the math, plus I'm blessed with a pretty good job, so that makes it easier... -Dan

That Church Of Misery LP seems to go for an average of about $90 on ePay: collectorsfrenzy(type the"." here)com/Default.aspx?ctl00%24SearchKey=church+of+misery+brutality&SortKey=0&SearchPageTB=1&OldSearchKey=church+AND+of+AND+misery&TotalPages=4&x=0&y=0

@mg196 yeah, it's definitely sold for less than $200, but I kinda based that offer on a few things. a) the guy I bought it from bought it for $150 last year b) it hasn't been up for sale in a LONG time and c) other CoM releases like Vol. 1 are selling for around $200 now, so their releases seem to be in high(er) demand as of late. SO I payed what I payed, and frankly I was ready to go up to $250-$300 for it because I just wanted it that bad. Cheers. -Dan

Just a bit of information for you. The swirl on the label for the Church Of Doom lp is borrowed from the original Vertigo label. Look it up. You may end up hunting for original UK pressings of Black Sabbath records.

@ballroom23 didn't know that! but after looking them up I think I may just do that at some point, ever since I got more and more into this modern doom stuff, I find myself spinning my first 4 Sabbath LP A LOT. thanks for the tip. -Dan
