"Anata" means "you" in Japanese but also possesses exactly the same pronunciation of "My Love" when a woman (girl) talk to her beloved. For example a wife may call her husband as "anata". Hence, I prefer to title this movie as "Transfered Student - Good Bye My Love".
P.S. This the second "Tenkousei" movie. The first one was shot in 1982 by the same director based on the same novel. The location was changed from a sea-side town Onomichi to a mountain city Nagano. Both of them are excellent!
