Check out Rob shooting a few of the stages at the 2009 USPSA Production Nationals. This year's event was held in Sin City - Las Vegas, Nevada. It was a long, hot, dry, dusty and trying week for all. Rob shot his new Springfield 4.5 inch 9 mm XDM and Safariland 5188 Concealment Holster setup. He finished this first event 5th overall.

Congratulations to all of the National Champions and a special "Thanks" to all of the dedicated ROs & match staff. All photos taken by Yamil Sued. Thanks Yamil! - created at http://animoto.com

  • Who's the Artist / Song in the background please?

  • @CentralNCSkywarn

Check the end of the vid. Kip always posts credits there.

  • nice work Robbie. See you at the 2011 Bianchi Cup. All the best GVB

  • @simbabindi

See you at Bianchi and soon. Thanks!

  • What would you say to new shooters wanting to get into competitive shooting, as far as the gun, the gear, & what to expect?

What type of gun is ok to use - XD9 4"/Px4 storm 4" both in 9mm

The gear - belt, holster, mag pouches - ect

  • @ArmedCivilian556 Check out USPSA's getting started page. I assume IDPA has the same type of helpful info. Your equipment choices are personal. Your local range should be able to give you some guidance, too, assuming they hold matches.

  • @ArmedCivilian556 I of course prefer Safariland belts, holsters, mag pouches and Springfield firearms. Production division is probably the least-expensive division to get started with in the sport. Best of luck!

  • Rob, you are a great inspiration to me. I started shooting IPSC in Oct. 2008 with a Glock and switched to an XDm in 2009. The XDM is a very good gun and with correct training one day I am confident it will help me to achieve a major championship. Keep up the great shooting - your legendary talent extends far beyond US shorelines.

  • @xdtactical1 - Thanks for checking out my videos. Both Bob and Dave are extremely talented shooters and I know we have a lot of respect for each other. This kind of competition motivates me and you definitely havent seen the last of me shooting Production with the XD. Shoot straight!
