DO NOT DO THIS TO YOUR WELL leave it to a pro, bleach is very corrosive and will ruin things inside your well also bleach only has a germicidal effect for six months from manufactures date. not to mention that garden hose you pulled out of a shed somewhere im sure its real sanitary

What other treatment options are out there to treat a well after shocking the well with bleach doesn't work. I treated mine a week ago this evening and discovered that the well has gone back to its old self again with foul water and high concentrations of rust. Do I just re-treat the well?

I understand this whole video, what to do, except: "Run the water to waste somewhere" --after one turns off the water at the taps, after smelling the bleach, how does one 'run the water to waste somewhere?' Thank you for your help.

What about clearing all the "high chlorine" water from the lines inside the home...

Should I just go straight in and take a shower in that, should be good for exfoliating the skin eh?

    DUMBASS.

Really poor video on this procedure!

You should let the hose run in the well to circulate the chlorine for at least 15 minutes, not one minute...

Just overall really bad info here.

If your well is contaminated with bacteria, it's not deep enough. anaerobic (oxygen poor) water from deep underground will not support bacterial life (the types of bacteria that can affect humans, that is).
