Pokemon: Gold Version Glitch (1)

I was using a gameshark walk through walls code. There are places in the game that you're just not meant to go, and the game can't handle you doing that, so it resets itself. The thing that's strange is the differences in the beginning screen, especially that you can see Ho-Oh in detail, rather than the usual silhouette.

Please note!! It is discouraged that you do this if you care about your game file, because it WILL be erased (The "Continue" option will disappear)!!

Did you read the description? It explains what happened. You might not notice the difference unless you are familiar with the usual beginning screen to pokemon gold. Usually animation is in color, and at the end, the picture of Ho-Oh flying is supposed to be a silhouette, and this trick allows you to see it in detail, which proves that it WAS programmed to exist.

You restarted the game and tricked it into thinking you where playing it on a Gameboy and not a Gameboy Colour or Gameboy Advanced.

DId you know you can perform this glitch on a normal game? It isn't done the same way, but there is a same effect. If you listen to certain pokemon cries in the pokedex, and then use the coin case, this will happen. Sometimes odd text will appear, and some times the game will white out.

Only then, your save file doesn't get corrupted.

If you move the cartridge on a gameboy it also does a similar effect. Although the colors are always different.

I just noticed... Totodile in the intro looks like he's jumping on Charizard's eye (I can't beleive I just noticed that...)
