I am currently writing my final essay of the semester on Dr. Maathai, and just what little research I have done so far has been very inspiring. She is a great woman and I will try to do my very best in life as she would expect from any person.

I was honored to meet Wangari Maathai in 2006, take a photo with her during her trip to Boston and learn more about her important work. She was a visionary champion who fought an uphill battle against powerful political forces who opposed her leadership. She won on many fronts and proved that women can lead in the fight to save the environment. May God bless her soul, and may she rest in peace.

Au323 you are a racist fool. This woman is a world environmentalist. What she was you will never been. For you to insult her on her death is beyond humanity.Go dig a hole and jump in it.You don't deserve to leave above ground.
