As much as I appreciate the originality of the video, it was an unfair victory.

People were supposed to make a video about Portal, and so they did. I can't help but think that this was a slap on the face of the people that played by the rules and spent time and effort making a Portal video, and "hurr just a sock" is not the only reason people are complaining.

Even the most awesome speedboat isn't supposed to win a car customization contest. People have a right to be pissed.

After watching this I finally understand this. I mean, I agree that this is nothing to do with portal or anything, but it goes perfect with the song itself. About how the man is completely alone and the sock puppet is his only friend. And as Silas Martin said below me, that's exactly what the whole song is about.

This is brilliant. I love the melancholy of the sock puppet along with the general cinematography and lighting that they used here... but that being said, I have to agree that it's not exactly "portal related" (aside from using the song). So I can see why some people were upset that this won.

GREAT music video--but not the best Portal-themed music video.

Agreeing with many people on the 'unfair victory', the concept behind the video is brilliant. Who else would you talk to if society ignored your existence? Played bully to your emotions? When human contact is something that people desperately needed by those who wear their heart on their sleeve, pour emotions into the public, and hope for a positive response.

That said, I hope the people of the internet will respect that I didn't mean to go too far into analyzing this.

I wouldn't have such a problem with it if it wasn't so bland. For 3-4 verses, there's no movement or anything interesting or eye-catching. Just the mouth flapping. That's boring, that's bad directing. MikeMov89Portal2's was probably my favorite entry. Just the fact that people are still arguing about this so long after the contest proves something went wrong, I think.
