  • "There are two of you, don't you see? One that kills and one that loves."

  • What a great scene....a trained assassin passed out drunk in a seedy hotel room....a photo of his wife, bottle of cognac, pack of Winstons, and a 1911 pistol spread out around him.......while The Doors best song provides the soundtrack....excellent movie making as far as I'm concerned.......

  • If there'd ever be equal, "Apocalypse Yesterday" would make more sense.

  • oooooh...i'm scared now.... I'll never make a joke again!

  • No, you are the joke.

  • "Darkness was here nineteen hundred years ago, the other day." Conrad's novel is magnificent. In the 2006 King Kong remake, as the ship crew go deep into a primitive domain, a young guy is reading this novel and says, "This isn't just an adventure story, is it?"

  • I'm so sick of The Godfather...I watched it so much that I really started to think it's overrated..I mean not overrated as the movie no way, but as the first place on everybody's list of the greatest movies of all time...it's always The Godfather at the first place...I'm sick of it..also the list of greatest movies is subjective..

  • it's just a joke dude....

  • The novel, by Conrad, needs no elaboration, and it can't be updated. Nothing has changed (since he wrote it, or even in 150 years), and any sequel would be redundant. As this movie makes clear. This IS the sequel, or a sequel, and it makes perfect sense, and is horribly sad, since nothing has changed. There's just something ignorant about the Western Mind. This makes it ultimately destructive. Not sure when it started, but it would be in "modern" times, say, since 1200.
