Maldives Make Desperate Plea at UN Climate Conference

Speaking in between the two biggest CO2-emitting nations - China and the United States - Maldives president Mohammed Nasheed makes desperate plea to the United Nations to make sure that the upcoming climate summit in Copenhagen will not be a failure.

"We can not make Copenhagen a pact for suicide," he told world leaders.

Nasheed vowed that he would lower the price of the dollar to 10 rufiya(maldivian currency) on the campaign. But it is 15 now. He vowed that he would build 10000 housing units in maldives. But still not a single one is built. He vowed that he would have a mid term election.But still there isn't any. He have gone to more than 192 islands in the maldives and told all the impossible things he can not do.

Our plant has always being affect by environmental change from the first time its had an atmosphere. Its chemistry.

the plant is self regulating we know this and your right we can,t control it ,but we certainly can affect it. This regressive taxation will inevitabl lead to a massive transfer of wealth from industrialized to 3rd world nations, so that all nations of the world become indebted to institutions like the IMF, World Bank and the International Bank of Settlements. It (the carbon credit regime) will centralize wealth in a few hands, dessimate the middle class and bring in a system of neo-serfdom.
