Canon A1 Hi8 camcorder review & footage

I have two versions of this camcorder. This one the Mk1 and also the Mk2 which came out a little later.

They did suffer with capacitor problems due to little use and stored for years.

Do you know the model number for the charger? I've been searching , but can't find that info (and there are none being sold on Ebay under the camera's name). I also wanted to check how the camera was powered by plug-in power. If you wanted to power it with plug-in (non-battery) power, could you, and if so, how?

A shame this camera does not work any more. The capacitors have now broken.
