That is part of the reason I think Aspergers is a fake diagnosis...I'm a nerd and I really don't give a shit what anybody else thinks...I think misdiagnosed individuals tend to be very genuine, authentic individuals...more than often non conformists who can see through all of the stupidity of society...that would be me.

Hey there friend, I hear you! XD It amazes me how people seem to forget that intelligence plays a huge role in how people connect with each other... I mean, seriously, how could any smart person take an idiot seriously?? Also, like I previously said, what about superficiality vs. genuineness??? People are so superficial and put on facades far too often... also conformism vs. nonconformism,,,,,Anybody???

You could be right..to be honest, you don't really come across as someone with autism, but of course, only you can really judge that. But as I stated before, if you can't socially connect with anyone & feel trapped within your own mind (in that sense), that should be the determinant as to whether or not you are autistic. I hate to stereotype, but frankly, I've seen plenty of socially awkward individuals, particularly women, that do seem to possess that quality of being trapped in the wrong body.

Mabye we should re-name it Geek syndrome...

I myself constantlly confuse aspergers with GID. My own transvestic fetish, made me believe that I was simplly a women trapped in a man's body and that aspergers was just my timid female personality. It might still be the case. Thats why I vlog on youtube.

gene pool...kind of like social dyslexia...Yes, I don't believe this disorder is just a part of the high functioning autism spectrum, perhaps hf autism in a less extreme form with variations, etc. Trust me, I exhibit quite a few of the so-called symptoms in its criteria, but I have no problem interpreting emotion. Yes, I appear emotionally awkward in public, but, as quixoticmind16 stated, being introverted & intelligent can have its social drawbacks.

Here's the main point that the Aspergers criteria virtually always fails to address in validating it's own relationship with high functioning autism side of the spectrum (as I've noticed through extensive research): The inability of the sufferer to recognize (conceptualize, reciprocate, etc.) the emotional states of others...in other words, what I consider to be "emotional blindness". I mean, hey, we have prosopagnosia (literal face blindness), vision, etc. Why not emotion blindness in our ...

normality is something that is common and that is something use to so most people act this way or known as neurotypical. Its just a majority and lets say if there are a lot of aspies then people with aspergers would be normal.

You know alot of women have weak social skills. I believe this is why most asexual women seek men as partners, because they appreciate their strong personality. This is why men who suffer from aspergers outnumber men 3-1 because it's socially ok for women to be quiet and reserved. Your a beautiful girl and just focus on being yourself and being polite. K sweetheart?!

I agree with you...I've seen "social awkwardness" between different crowds (i.e. jocks vs. nerds. vs. white trash vs. shy poets...etc.) I do believe intelligence and extroversion plays a huge role in this...now that I think about it non-conformism vs. conformism as well as whether you are genuine or superficial...how can people forget that one?!?! People put on facades ALL THE TIME...some more than others.
