  • Slash wishes he was pete townshend

  • men pete is amazing.....he have much better solos

  • @fazole because of pete hendrix used feedback and that kind of shit...

so it on the documentary about the who.

pete influenced so much to rock and roll and ppl just dont know.

  • pete townshend is just amazin...is one of the best showmans in the history of rock for me the best....a really great songriter and the best rhythim guitarrist period.....perhaps best guitarists had good leaders ... but you've heard their live performances are just simply amazing .. sparks, water, see me feel me, i cannot expalined ... pete is not like the typical guitar playing almost always the same thing had a way of playing so unique

  • Pete Townshend IS God!!

  • See me, feel me from Woodstock in my opinon, but anything from the "coverall" days. He's just wild then, sounds like a touch of Hendrix with the overdrivene amps, and feedback. You should include his performance on the "Rock and Roll Circus" event presented by the Stones.

  • Slash wouldn't be here without Pete. Slash might be able to do things with his fingers that Pete can't; but Pete did FAR more with his heart than Slash will ever do.

  • I don't agree with some of scartissue94's comments....Pete Townshend is a GREAT guitarist, but he is more of a rhythm player than a lead player IMO....Slash is in a different league to Pete, Slash is an incredible lead guitarist...well...when he was with Guns n'' Roses he was AMAZING, but since going solo he's not so great. If Slash is overrated for anything, its his contribution to music after his work with Velvet revolver IMO. Pete is definitely overrated for his lead guitar playing....

  • His style reminds me of his vocal style, if that makes sense

  • townshend and hendrix the legends of the 60
