E92 M3 testing in Santa Barbara

I found this lil' gem cruisin the 101N in Santa Barbara just north of Carillo Blvd. I attempted to follow it in my E46 325Ci but got left behind...fast. Enjoy.

I lived in Oxnard, about 1 mile from their test facility right across Borla. I had seen the new 1, 3, 5 7, z, X's u name it roll out of there. It is their emissions test facility, and their cars are usually mocked up to hide what they really are. Check out Edison Rd, and Hueneme Rd, security is tight. FYI it is also next to the western delivery center, were all BMW's enter the US.

I just have to comment on all the uneducated, retarded remarks people have made here about this video.

1st, this is a real E92 M3 test vehicle. I live in Santa Barbara and see unfinished BMW test cars cruising around all the time. They come from the BMW VPC in Oxnard.

The test cars are usually unfinished, and somtimes have "camo" or taped off panels, emblems or body lines. Sometimes they have different wheels, etc.

It's the real deal.

explain why you would test a car that has dual exhausts, with quad exhausts. its an M3 test car, the body is not the same but the mechanics are. go to any message board forum and see.
