I never played DoW2 (because didn’t wanted to bother with Windows Live, and didn’t had money to buy it at moment it released), I played DoW1 few times in LAN, and never online (didn’t had internet).

The gameplay is similar to Company of Heroes if you've played that. I like it a lot personally. Many people say it's dumbed down, but I like it personally. I prefer the more squad based combat. I agree the campaign isn't anything special, but the Multplayer is great. But everyone has there opinions. But I'd say I probably like DoW2 more.

dow2 is nothing like dow 1. dow2 is like a dumbed down version that's also completely unbalanced and has a retarded single player that focuses on one squad. Not a real rts
