Strike Gunner for the Super Nintendo, played on Difficulty Level 4 (hardest) to make the video interesting :)

This game is easier with two players, but since I'm going solo I used savestates so I didn't die and made interesting stuff like the boss' turrets getting destroyed on the first pass.

The blimps go down if you defeat their turrets. The boss' turrets fire like crazy so the antiair mines are great at offense/defense :)

Weapons that don't work: Spread missiles, they help during the level but don't much damage to bosses.

I have no manual.

So I have always wondered: What is the purpose/difference for each ship-combine? (When Player 1 & 2 link together and form one fighter.) One version allows Player 2 to shoot and the other doesn't. Why?

X is X fire, I mean when you fire it goes 4 directions.

Y is directional fire, you have to fire and hold a direction.
