  • Really nice, considering this piece is arranged for a single guitar--which has to cover as best as possible the pianist's TWO hands. On a piano, where one hand is needed, two are needed on a guitar to play the equivalent tone(s). Nice and subtle work there Diamond Jim. Did Bach really invent the Flange effect? On this guys main website, all videos & songs are in stereo. YouTube compresses audio to monophonic.

  • Thanks man, pianists bother me with this ALL THE TIME!! I can only make 50% to 66.78% of the sounds that they can, give the limitations of the guitar. I'm glad someone out there knows a bit about the lost art of music!

  • Bach sometimes played the Mouth Harp publically at cabarets. The modern day expression: "Well, I'll leave when Bach plays Swan Lake." Goes back to the fact that Bach refused to play Swan Lake which was composed by his rival, Tchaikovsky. Bach often riduculed him at any opportunity. Tchaikovsky summed-up the situation back in 1623, two years before he died by saying: "Bach's a jerk."

  • He he he..., he certainly was, wasn't he!

  • I think Bach would be proud of the work you've done with his "Erfindung." Most people don't realize that Bach was a musician--often writing AND composing his own music!!

  • Really, very interesting Claudia. I did NOT know that. I think I might add these revelations to Wikipedia!

  • One voice dropped, where's the challenge? It's a two-voice contrapuntal piece.
