This is a video of Nancy, a certified instructor, doing the first section of the long form. We would like to show videos of our style (International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association) so people can see its qualities. -yangfamilytaichi.com
Ward-off Left and Ward-off Right differ that way. In Ward-off Right, the opponent is in front of you. In Ward-off Left, when he punches you would step a little left and attack sort of diagonally.
Very good, but I would like to ask - the first 'ward-off' movement: why do you advance side-ways? Surely, common sense should suggest that you should advance with the body facing forward, rather than at a 90 degree angle?
