I heard about this song and the Josh Homme thing awhile... I'm a fan of Homme but I figured he probably went too far (as he usually) does over the lyrics in this song. Upon finally hearing it, however, I don't have any sympathy for these guys, because this shit sucks.

@WMackbd lol what are you talking about? Dexter's a true punk. His music may not be as hardcore as many of the other punk bands, but that's because there were so many different kinds of punks and other genres to music that inspired him to create his own. But he stays true to his style, which just like you said is what true punks do.

It's an interested departure from the typical punk sound but the lyrics were a little out of date even in 2004. Basically a diss track at Creed and Queens of the Stone Age, two bands that hadn't been relevant for couple of years.

@NuclearGuru350 actually the fact that blag got hit with a bottle makes up for him making this shit ass song, just terrible. still love the dwarves though. josh homme was probably more pissed that nick ws on this track post firing. you know nick and blag were all coked out.

If i remember right, this song was the precursor to a fight, not vice versa.

@WMackbd The Dwarves frontman got in a fight with Josh Homme, so it's probably more of a personal thing than dislike of their music.
This song is about staying true to punk and good music and yet features Dexter Holland? Then proceeds to smash Qotsa? Bullshit
Idk about the other Dwarves music but this song sounds like another group of white boys trying too hard to be cool.

I actually saw the Dwarves at Fun Fun Fun Fest here in Austin, TX and got to hear more of them. The Dwarves don't use very much of this hip-hop style in their music. It is mostly a punk rock sound, but they definitely do not stick to one genre. The way they experiment is one of the main things keeping their fans listening. They are a pretty good group in my opinion.
