Sometimes a name is just a cigar

Everyone talks about labels and that's what your name is, fundamentally. However, there is something important about the individuality of a name and its link to your identity.
The process of choosing your own name is stressful, complicated and completely gratifying.

I got lucky with my name, dude; it's not just neutral; it's masculine. I'll only have to change my middle name. I'm thinking "Ernest" for the middle; my grandmother's name was "Ernestine" and I'm a very earnest person. Way to go, Kyp.

@jaysongamble1111 Man! I should really read that one! Rudyard K is one of the stories I tell people if I'm flying low and don't want them to know I'm trans. I can say my parents named me after him. If I tell the S.W. story, I am admitting that I chose the name, which, if the listener is astute, will lead to some inquiry on their part. Ya Know?!?

I like the name Jayson, it's very euphonic :)

I feel the same exact way about my old name. I get sorta terrified when i hear someone say my old name. It's really upsetting to me. :(
