I completed the purchase and instruction flights in previous weeks. This was my first time flying my Mooney since. I did a bunch of traffic patterns at KLDJ (Linden, NJ) before heading off to some other airports which I'll post in subsequent videos. Surprisingly even near gross weight on a hot summer day, the plane climbed very well and had a moderate takeoff roll.
Once the gear was up it climbed marvelously and I had to pay close attention not to overshoot pattern altitude. The video presents both inside and outside views of some of my takeoffs and landings because my lovely fiance was nice enough to video from outside while I practiced and then came along for more.
@HDaviator Totally agree! I can fly my Mooney at 55% power burning under 8gph and still doing 130kts+

@mrstuffy
Don't bother buying one of those. They are good trainers, but they don't make sense to buy as private aircraft. They are slow and consume allot of fuel for what they are. I would personally save up until I could buy something like a 182 (or mooney) and up. More power, and a faster cruise, with relatively same fuel consumption. Maintenance isn't all that much, even with the more complex systems.
