In 1989 ten-year-old Amy Mihaljevic was kidnapped from the Cleveland suburb of Bay Village. In 2006 journalist James Renner reopens the case with his new book Amy: My Search for Her Killer.
it's a travesty what happened to amy. even though i wasn't alive when she was abducted, i'm determined th do something about this. i hope who ever murdered her is caught, and persecuted for his unspeakable act. he is a sinner and on his final judgement day, i think we all know the decision god is going to make.
my grandfather was the cheif of police of bay village at the time Amy was murdered. he worked with the FBI on the case. i talked to him about it yesterday. he worked for about 6 months and was also interviewed by the author. it actually isnt the first big crime to take place in bay village. sam shepherd killed her wife there too just along the beach in his house.

I'm very glad to see that James Renner takes such interest in Amy's case to write a book.
I, as well, am very sadden by this case and even though I wasn't born until a few years after her murder, it hits so close to home.
