there should be a step 10: find someone who would take care of you, make you tea when you enter his house, hold you close when you have a worry of losing everything with him responding, of course, "you'll still have me" and finally someone who is generally not abusive...sometimes i worry girls who ship chair may be in an abusive relationship themselves that's why they identify with chuck and blair's relationship. i hope not.

Ummmm... guys can't just have to take this shit most of the time and it's not "abuse"...
-
@supergirl523 Where the fuck does it say shit about Dair?!!? Chair shippers are fucking crazy....
-
@GCGCGymnast98 Yes it is. One that MANY little/teenage girls watch and get the message that this is 'okay' and 'not abuse' and that is just terrible. Gossip Girl (although I used to watch it and now re-watch season one and two) sends an AWFUL message. (Like being an attempted rapist = attempted kissing bandit)
-
@groovestufs Yes he did. He sexually assaulted her ( kissing her neck when she said 'no' 'its over' etc) and then pulled her to him, and then pushed her onto the couch. I'm not EVEN going to get into the emotional/verbal abuse.

God, are we all of a sudden forgetting that Gossip girl is a TV show? And not a good-natured TV show at that. It's supposed to be like this but I detest that this is abuse because Chuck hardly hit her at all. And he was drunk. Gossip girl is all about the scandal that crowds Manhattan. If this happened in real life then I would understand. But it's GOSSIP GIRL. so no.
-
He might would've abused her if he had actually hurt her on purpose, but he didn't.
-
it annoys me a bit at the number of dislikes this has
I'm afraid for this generation, stupid teens think this crap isn't abusive :/
-
@Thesenseofdelight Of course not! He would never do that to her (you watch the show?)
-
I get the point but I think its a stupid example.
@tatisloveoth
oh please, you're an idiot if you think this doesn't affect girls. A TV show like gossip girl is watched by many teenage girls and it's popular ENOUGH to convey messages like it's ok to act like Chuck because "he's so in love with her." Abuse is abuse. Fuck that.
