The Fool's reward

The eventuality of every fool's journey is the reward he carries back home. The journey of course never ends as it is the responsibilty of the fool to teach the tribe his newfound skills (which becomes a journey in itself). The reward in itself becomes nothing but the subjective interpretation of the fool and is to only be truly understood in the process of teaching it to the tribe. There will be adversity in this, as often, there are members of the tribe that would prefer the "old ways", but this is only another projection of the threshold guardian to the fool and is treated with the same respect. Often the threshold guardian is simply a projected illusion of the fool's fears, and because the fool has already been through the journey, and met this projection before, he is able to use his newfound knowledge and apply it to this new projection.

The reward of the fool's journey is guarunteed to alter the course of the tribe's future. The tribe knows this, and reflects this through their love of art. Change is inavoidable, it is the fool's journey that is often the deciding factor to the way change is likely to go. the tribe is a reflection of it's many fool's who have journeyed and come back, never empty handed. It is inavoidable that the fool will become the hero in the end, he is the only one foolish enough to step out of their old world and into the new. The fool knows, deep downd, the unknown is what holds the tribe together, and loves the tribe more for it. This is the reward, the fool thinks to himself. Freedom to make your own choices.
