  • Nice rendition, but this isn't a Quaker hymn, all the more evident by the fact that the Quakers forbade music in their homes and meeting houses until the late 19th century. This hymn was written by Baptist minister named Robert Lowry.

  • @sweettart538 YAAAAAAAA!!!!

  • i sang this arangement in my high school choir. i agree, this tempo is a little fast for me, but i still love it all the same!

  • 2011-2012 texas choir audtions baby! cant wait to sing this!(:

  • I'm singing this song for All State this year, so excited.

  • When this song was sung by the Quakers, I suspect many of them sang with joy because they meant what they were singing. We may speak of arrangements and performance techniques, but “when the darkness rolls around us” it will be that same unmovable rock that will keep us singing. I hope each of you do cling to Him.

  • I'm so excited to sing this!

  • Beautiful!

  • I like it when the tempo is where it's supposed to be. This makes it sound like Legend of Zelda or something. This is too fast for me. Good job though!

  • Very awesome!

I sang that at my Presbyterian church recently, and it turned out beautiful!

We just have a piano for that, not any other orchestra.
