I'd like to hear Martin Johnson talk about what it's like to smuggle his team through a side door at Heathrow.

@TheARMAProductions ....i hope your joke of a rugby team enjoy their flight home

@TheARMAProductions ...IN both Athens and Sydney....Australia with its 20 million population came fourth behind USA, Russia and China......in Atlanta they came 5th behind those four mentioned plus Germany....in Atlanta UK won 1 gold medal!!!!....and you ridicule New Zealand.......they improved in Sydney and Athens....but Aus still basically won twice as many medals with a third the population.....so this idea that you have of britain being some sporting superpower is complete crap
-
@TheARMAProductions...........
.. By the way NZ won 9 medals in Beijing including 3 gold which equate to roughly 3 times that of the UK on a per capita basis. -
@TheARMAProductions ..in Beijing UK did beat Aus by 1 medal.(Aus came 5th by medals....6th by golds) UK 47 medals Aus 46 (UK..3 x the population)...you do the maths. As I said Aus have consistently won more medals than the UK....consistently means over time you dipshit. It has been a long time before the Beijing olympics that the UK won more medals than Aus. Go back to Atlanta, Athens or Sydney.

@TheARMAProductions.pretty naive comment. NZ has 1/15 the population of UK and is very good at other sports as well. eg it undoubtedly produces the worlds best yachtsman. Australia consistently wins more medals overall than Britain at the olympics...and did so in Beijing (a couple of gold less this time). Aus has 1/3 the population of britain yet I've never heard a Brit say Australians are 'epic' at sport. You Brits are too busy having ticker tape parades and boasting about winning a few medals
-
I remember that game well. England not only had to beat Australia, but the ref too.

@Aussiephil99 attitude cant be taught noor can toughness, you learn that yourself but skills yes you are often taught and im not saying that there different in any way! but their attitude is different to other nations, its bigger there than any other nation on the plannet so the tallent like it more, some of the tallent is so great it doesnt matter who or where they are taught there still gonna be great! players like that come from everyware, NZ is an example, look at jonny wilkinson!
-
@2003RugbyBoy .....New Zealanders are biologically the same as any other race yet from a small population produce the worlds best players......yes some are born with 'god given talent'....but attitude, skills and toughness can be taught
-
@Aussiephil99 i would never deny that the all blacks are the best team in history, with players like dan carter in the present day and johnu lomu in the past i couldnt deny it. there are thousands more that i will have missed im sure of that! but at the end of the day if dan carter learned rugby in ate arse end of nowhere he would still be as good if he got the right oppourtunity because hes so good! its the same with jonno! no matter where players like them learn they will still be awsome!
Great stuff...
It's still thrilling to reminisce that quality performance, with such a classy captain, that the English team now dying to find...
Cheers England!!!
