Taking your points, one by one:
1) Rotating box logos are becoming more common, to prevent bleeding edges on widescreen televisions. Or so I've been told.
2) When you really deduct it, there's really no war. WTVJ and WPLG are following O&O looks, WFOR turned no-frills on us, and WSVN...yeah...
3) WTVJ's music since March has been Gari's "NBC Speed of Life".
4) FOX O&Os sorta have free reign over their stuff. Their newer HD opens are awesome and not as monotonous.

Nice opening...it looks like an UPDATED look and opening. I just dont like the FOX O&O rotating look alike BUG. I did notice, no mention of the Network at all in their graphics open...NO ABC...lol Looks like a Graphics War down in South Florida, between WSVN (The Leader) , WPLG, and WFOR. WTVJ, they are iight...I like their music (KSND 7/39 San Diago News Now). But like the FOX O&O stations, once you see one, you see them all, no uniqueness to them...
