it is not as shocking as you may believe. our civilization is bound to collapse sooner or later. We are not living in reality if we believe that our consumer goods and goods that we survive on magically end up on shelves for us to indulge.
Personally, I blame the capitalism.

It's a great film, but THIS PARTICULAR preview, which goes right into the US foreign policy stuff without first explaining the Peak Oil Thesis and its implications for American life, makes it sound a little conspiracy-theory-ish.
See the actual film, it will make sense. It's absolutely excellent.

I saw the 50 mins version and I was shocked.
It's so sad the people in the suburbs is on its way to complete poverty. The suburb is going to be worst than city slums. This goes out the people who thought there life is too good to be true and not listening to people who was exposing corrupted gov't. We take over oil in the middle east and our gov't rasies the prices on it. The middle east was selling oil for cheap when we took over the prices went up.

Ironic that most of the people in these middle eastern countries actually like Americans a lot during the 1970's and 80's. It's also ironic that so many Americans believe the media which is owned by the same cartels on Wall Street that own the oil companies, military contractors, and both major political parties.
