  • Can anyone please tell me if is true that the Rafale beat the EF2000 in training in Saudi Arabia? If u ask the french it's ovvius that they say yes.

  • Saudi arabia is NOW using the Eurofighters for air defence....

For the training, they're going to buy the M-346 from Aermacchi.

  • I know that, my question is, is true that the rafale beat the EF2000 in training in Saudi Arabia along with F22? If u go all around the web all the french said that they won 7 to 1, I just wanna know if is true with someone fair. c u

  • Sorry for the misunderstanding ^_^

I personally think the french news are false 'cause I rode that the results won't be published because of military secret...

  • I believe personally the EF2000 is a lot better than the f-22

    why?

    Other countries can by them

  • don´t make that comparations, A-10 is a ground attack plane, and the EF-2000 is a superiority fighter

  • This is my loveeee :-)

  • @TRATTORE1225 well the only official results of these sort o exercises to be revealed show the Typhoon to beat the F-15 and F-16 and even get a solid lock on the F-22, so I really doubt the Rafale beat it. The Rafale is more of an offshoot of the eurofighter anyway as the French quit and used their experience to build the Rafale. It's a good plane, but I doubt it could beat the eurofighter, and defintley not 7-1. The fact the Saudi airforce chose the eurofighter is quite telling

  • I SWEAR YOU EURO FAN BOYS WILL MAKE UP ANYTHING ROFL!!!

  • @alistairarthur

    ROFL REALLY????????

  • @alistairarthur

    ROFL REALLY????????

  • @fondacaroalfonso

yeah ... they want to sell their stuff, those french know buissness :)

i also belive they (Dassault) pulled out of the typhoon project because of economic interests (why share the plane and the money?)

  • @alistairarthur yeah.....mind pointing me in the direction of the ino you based your statement on?

  • @wavekid1000 That statement is useless and false. It is just your opinion that isn't based on anything else than personal bias. A blank comment would be just as useful.

  • @BitnikGr

um i hate to break it to you mate, but the eurofighter has and always has had supercruise, and from what ive read they sold it to the americans, the original f18 didnt have supercruise but the super hornet does.

New developments have always occured which is why unless there is a war you dont mass produce planes or anything for that matter. If/when there is a war, the EF is cheaper and prob quicker to make (i def know about the less expensive part, time im not sure)

  • @BitnikGr EF is always half- or one step behind. Today it can be named and aknowledged as one great multi-role platform, but in term of air superiority it is clearly not the best.

It needs new RAM for decreasing a RCS, more powerful engines for supercruise, AESA radar and new missiles maybe. By time it will get all this, new development will occur again.

So many efforts and means spent in order just trying to catch up, but never actually being in lead of the pack. :(
