I immediately fell in love with the debut single. The only thing that peeves me is that the first track was used for an anime opening. I'm still hunting for sheet music for the second track Kuroi Torikago.

Edit: Okay, after several months - I finally realized there are a lot of things that need to be cleared up. =_____=;

First of all; I may be unhappy with the fact that Mana signed Kanon Wakeshima's debut single as the ending for an anime.

----Does that mean I dislike anime, or Vampire Knight? No.---

In fact, I actually like the Vampire Knight anime. Why would that one sentence above in my description cause so much controversy? I mean really!

Let's take another example. I absolutely love the visual kei band Nightmare (Naitomea). And I really liked the Death Note anime. ---The only thing I didn't like was having two of their singles as the ending and opening of the Death Note anime.--- Does that make sense? Lets not mix the Jrock/ Visual Kei fandom with anime...please?

And don't assume I dislike Vampire Knight for that reason...I didn't even say anything about whether or not I'm a fan! Ugh. =______=;

  • Vampire Knight was amazing, I don't see the problem with that

  • ...Uh...I liked the Vampire Knight series also; but can we please keep visual kei artists seperate from anime?

    What kind of pretentious comment was that? I have half a mind to delete it. Childish. I don't care about your opinion unless its critique on the video....not my thoughts.

  • I don't see the problem with what emovampirelover12 was saying. You stated your oppinion that you didn't like the fact that Kanon's songs were just ending songs to vampire knight, it's only natural that someone gives their oppinion back.

    What she said was not childish unless you can say that your oppinion on Vampire Knight was also childish.

  • Let me clear up a few things.

    1. I actually like Vampire Knight

    2. I really like Kanon Wakeshima

    3. I like anime (in fact the majority of my covers are anime related)

    4. There wasn't anything wrong with what emo said...just her way of trying to start an argument was childlike. She could have sent me a pm instead of comment here. I'm open to discussion over vampire knight - just not in the comments page. She should've messaged me instead; unless her comment had something to do with this video.

  • You don't use the foot pedles do you? You are so good! But it sounds kinda choppy. So when you have to get your fingers from one place on the keys to another, hold the pedle down then let go when you start again. Sound much better!

  • desertlover12: Haha...the sad thing is; I was using the damper pedal. XD Maybe its a little bit hard to hear because I slammed down on the octave intervals too hard, lolol P:

    Thanks! ^____^

  • I know, it sucks how music composed by Mana-sama ended up as an anime themesong, it attracts the wrong kind of fanbase... some of them don't even know who Mana is.

  • Totally! I don't see the problem with having this on an Anime. Plus Vampire Knight is an amazing anime. And for the second season, another one of her songs was put on as the ending song. Just as good as this one too! Love it!

  • This is a really great cover. <3 I love it.

    And I'm a bit iffed about it being in anime, too. For me, the appeal of Mana has always been the mysterious, abnormalities of the amazing music. Having it in an anime (that I don't like, even), is a bit disappointing.

  • can you send me the tabs please

  • it sounds so scary :D

  • I LOVE ITT

  • lol. I don't like the fact this was used for an anime either. But excellent playing!

  • It may have been used as an anime ending... but to tell the truth, that is how i learned about Kanon... I love her music, but Vampire Knight is a top hit anime... plus you gotta start small to get big right? And since the anime is so widely watched all over the globe, well.... thats how her music got spread... The song actually goes wonderfully with the anime!!!

    i did a report on her for my english final in high school... GOT AN A!!!

  • Amazing (:

    AndI kind of agree about the whole, 'Lets not mix the anime and j-rock/other j-music/visual kei together' thing.

    I adore Vampire Knight.

    I adore Kanon Wakeshima.

    Quite honestly, what they've done wen they've put the two together isn't so bad..

    But in other cases it can come out awful, and make me dislike the song :l

    Everyon else thinks I'm weird for it, so I'm glad someone agrees ^///^;

  • I like how its simple and not like those big fancy ones, I do like the fancy ones. But this sounds good, and for ppl who can't play as good as the big ones, such as myself, this is inspiring.

  • can you please please please (with a kawaii cherry on top ^_^ ) send me the chords for this?

    or, how did you learn it?

  • Uhm. Foot pedal much?

    Still amazing job anyways :)
