@alatheir DOOF wasn't Goa? where have you been? Doof was one of the quintessential makers of the trade. His music has all the tell-tale symptoms of Goa music- cheesy samples, lots of staccato synth lines, repetetive Goa bass, and predictability. when i think Goa, i think Doof, Man With No Name, electric universe, total eclipse... and you are half- right: they made full-on Goa. Doof in particular did not deviate from the old full-on Goa template, not until his 2nd album on Twisted came out.

@carbilicon doof and astral projection dont make goa....they make full-on.
both left goa for the money in mainstream full-on....
sad but true.
-
well not true at all...actually on april 8'th there is gonna be a party in israel with:
Prana,X-dream,Koxbox,ray castle,and Etnica.
almost the full lineup of the greatest goa artists to ever live missing only:
green nuns of the revolution, simon posford, and tsuyoshi.
too bad im on another continent at the moment.
also you might want to check out some new "retro" albums of cosmosis from 2009.
its goa with extreemly good sound.
but its true that most people dont create\listen to goa anymore.

@carbilicon you make another good point, there aren't very many Liquid Sun's.........

@jedimaster303 dude I loved Another World! But my personal favorite is Dancing Galaxy album: that one will be timeless.
-
@carbilicon Haha! Okay my friend, you have a point, though I would say that the Spirit of Goa could be created today, with the right equipment... it is still alive......... Peace Man <3

@jedimaster303 yes, yes some artists (MWNN, Doof, AP) continued to make music in the goa-style, but as a whole you can hear the transition from pure goa to a hybridization of goa and psytrance as the world moved into the digital age, at least in terms of production. And thus, as production changed, the music changed, and by about 1998 you could hear the difference even on vinyl copies. :)

@carbilicon @carbilicon Well, that is a statement that I must disagree with; Earth Moving The Sun by Man With No Name - 1998, Another World by Astral Projection - 1999, need I continue?
fuel of lsd tsuyoshi the god of goa
