  • @sfgiants20 Thank You . Please send me the name & adress of the Doctor that helped to treat you. It would be very nice of you. i have a 5 years old girl suffuering from side effects of medications.

  • When i was 7 i had an emergency operation because my brain tumour was so big and during that operation i had a stroke but i recovered that then i had another operation when i was 11 and still have uncontrolled seizures so now i have to go through another operation now but now im 13 so i know what its going to be like so im not that scared than i was when i was 7&11 & i have a mixture of seizures but not grand mal or anything like that. Take care everyone

  • @hawkdaddy64 I was born with elipesy went through a bunch of doctors and medications one being tegretol hoping eventually seizures would go away and they didnt. When I was 16 I met a doctor who realized nothing was working and told me about brain surgery. Went through a week of tests and they caught what part of my brain caused the seizues so I was a canadite for surgey. Had the surgery and 7 years later Im 22 years old and havnt had any seizures since.

  • I wish I could do surgery, but I guess I am one where my benefits of having the surgery is lower than just doing what I am doing now with medication and VNS inplant.

  • I take 800mg of Tegretol-XR and 3250mg of Divalproex daily. I have a VNS also and still I have 3-5 gran mal seizures and 50-60 petite mal seizures a month. I am at a loss, my doctor wants me to be evaluated for surgery but I am not ready for that step just yet.

  • thanks

  • Very, very informative. I've added this to my favourites. Thank you.
