  • I just came from the store I went to buy some anti-seize grease from but came out of it empty handed because I was unsure what kind of grease I should get. Now I read "NGK does not recommend the use of anti-seize compounds."

Thank you so much for stating this, now I know why I didn't buy any :D

About that torque business, I'll go with the drawing in the packaging.

I bought ZFR5FIX-11 for my Honda Civic D16W7 engine and I'm eager to feel its ooomph with the new plugs. THANK YOU!

  • @anjinsan537 - No problem. Glad we could help.

  • what tools are needed when changing a 1986 rx7's spark plugs?

  • @LaidbackFREEBORDING

Tools required: 13/16 spark plug socket, 3/8” drive ratchet, socket extensions and swivels may be necessary. A 3/8” drive torque wrench is recommended for installation. RX-7 plugs do not require gap adjustment, therefore no gap tools are necessary.

@sbaker. NGK does not recommend the use of anti-seize compounds. Due to its lubrication qualities, it has been found that anti-seize can have a direct influence on torque value. It's use can create an over torque situation. All NGK spark plugs are treated with corrosion resistant plating and are installed as original equipment dry from the factory.

  • you didn't put any dieelectric grease?

  • Very good question. Because this engine has recessed spark plugs with sealed boots and a cover dielectric grease isnt really needed but in general applying a thin film of dielectric grease isnt a bad idea, especially on engines where the plugs are exposed outside the cylinder head (like most pushrod V8 or V6 engines) as it can help to seal out moisture and to prevent flashover. All NGK plugs also have corrugated ribs on the insulator which help to prevent flashover and arcing.

  • i couldn't remove my spark plug, it was too tight. what should i do? any help ideas thank you

  • Probably wrong place to ask, but how to find a correct replacement for old plugs and choose new ones from NGK?

I have Dodge Avenger, 1997, with 2.0 DOHC engine, but i don't have any idea what spark plugs to choose. I don't want to waste my money on plugs that will not gonna work in my Dodge. For BMW E36 it was easy: bought a NGK-BKR6EK. I was very satisfied.

  • what tools do i need to replace spark plugs on a 99 toyota camry LE 4L

  • @ngksparkplugsusa - Actually right about when you were writing this, I was installing the ZFR5FIX-11 on my 2001 Civic (European model) and it all went very smoothly and quick. The car totally changed its tune and it now Vroooms extremelly nicely, it just wants to go faster and faster just like when I drove it the first time - and I hear these can last ~120.000kms!

I am indeed a truly happy client of NGK (and HONDA!). THANK YOU for the video and service! Outstanding!
