Burt was an incredible talent. He shook everyone up when he appeared in the USA on record in 1964.. The most haunting singer , guitarist songwriters, who ever picked a tune......An Icon who influenced many, many well known artists, on both sides of the pond. The simplicity of his voice woven around his , intricate, inventive, unmatched, eclectic, mesmorsing, guitar style. One of a kind... Thank you for your inspriation and influence Burt.... RIP buddy....

my auntie was going out with burt jansch.she run away from home in portsmouth when she was 14 .and ended up living in a flat with jansch and renbourn.she told me he wrote this song with her in mind and took her down to soho square to sing it to her.i remember her telling me about it before i had heard his music.when i got a record of his from her i wasnt expecting much.but was totally blown away on listening.
